Lost In Found

By Napear on March 22, 2026 11:38 pm

Well, this officially feels like Weekly Beats again... because I finally had a bunch of time, and so I got this whole big idea, and then 4 hours before the deadline I realized I was never going to finish what I was doing in time... and so I present to you a patented Napear last minute panic induce granular synth based pivot ┐(~ー~;)┌

This week was less garbage than the week before... still reeling a bit.  I survived layoffs at my company, but there's the whole survivors guilt part, the watching friends and peers get fired part, and the now there are fewer people to do the same amount of work part... but again over employed is a better problem to have than unemployed.  Life never seems to get less complicated.

At any rate, I hope this finds you well, or well enough. I have lots of listening and commenting to catch up on... so fingers crossed I will have time this week to do that... but I will do my best.  ღゝ◡╹ )ノ♡

ahh that work stuff sounds rough.

i'm glad you were able to turn this one out so quickly, always impressed by your Squid Powers! heart

Oooh so many cool melodies interweaving around each other love it! Excellent pad break midway and such slick percussion backing them up.  I hope things at work can stay calm after all that.  This was an epic listen \m/

Lovely work with all the layers blending together into a beautiful chord progression. Very cinematic.

Awesome melodies! I particularly enjoy the background pad heart

Beautiful. Really nothing to add lol, it was a really nice three minutes while I puttered around the kitchen and quite frankly that can be the best kind of music. I always love your cinematic orchestral stuff.

I started this in a browser tab while Neon liminal's track played on other tab for a moment, that was cool.
This is really nice. I like the movement and spakling textures. It really propels for being lighter on drums if that makes sense. I can tell some work went into this, nicely done!

Just read your description, oh man, last minute WB time for sure, I feel that. Nice given that for sure!

wow you have a lot going on there bud!
the energy of this is great - it's magical and a bit ominous

It does feel like visiting a different magical world.  Good energy with a strong sense of motion, but the sounds are soothing and mystical.

Love how this creeps in and great progression

This is awesome. I really enjoyed this.

Dude, I'm so sorry to hear about so many of your colleagues. One of my team members got laid off late last year and another just last week. Shit's fuckin' real out there, man.
And I'm happy to report that, even though this might have been a panic induced last minute project, it ABSOLUTELY does not sound like one. Holy shit, this sounds super full and cool. I think I'm just a sucker for bells, y'know?
Best of luck, dude. May we both last at least another week ❤️

Beautiful. Those pearly bell patterns are so pretty. big_smile

Missing you in W14! Love this track, though. The arp at the beginning is exquisite and the track you built on top of it is very emotive. It's got this guitar-like character that I love. And that roaring pad/lead in the background at the end, cherry on top. No notes, five stars.

"I survived layoffs at my company, but there's the whole survivors guilt part, the watching friends and peers get fired part, and the now there are fewer people to do the same amount of work part"
I've seen this happen so many times, from both sides. It never gets easier, it never gets better.

Can put my finger on it, but your track "vibes" fits that situation perfectly.
That, and SSX Tricky vibes.

Pretty busy piece, in the best way possible. Maybe it actually IS simpler than it seems and it is just the interaction of the elements, but it sounds like there are a lot of things going on in here, so it transmit some king of cinematic anxiety, perfect for storytelling drama.

Wishing you the best on the personal side. Those kind of struggles are quite taxing on your mind. I've been there and I personally can tell Weeklybeats was my "peace corner" while many things around me were quite hectic. Extra kudos and sincere respect for holding on, my man.

Dang, this is a wonderful piece! I like it a lot! Only the ending feels a bit weak/sudden to me. But other than that great! So speedtrash, no! Speedtreasure!!
