Been listening to this one with my eyes closed all day. Cruising the streets of a broken city in an old Caddy, taking in the sights as the sun goes down. Parts of the city shutting down, bodegas gathering their goods outside on the sidewalk, the daily garbage is just starting to pile up on the curb. Other parts of the city are just to wake up getting ready for the evening action as a light rain begins to fall. No destination in mind just out for a cruise.

Perhaps a bit heavy handed on the MS-22 filter overdrive but I really liked the over-driven dust it added to the track.
Using the same modular skiff as the previous week, sampled 8 mono tracks into the Assimil8or, fed that through the filter and then resampled into the Digitakt for pretty much everything but the drums. Virus was on Sub duties and the bloops. I spent about half the week finding samples, by midweek I found the vocal samples that seemed to fit the mood. Really rushed arrangement and mix, I finally had to stop fiddling with it, tracked the stereo out from the Digitakt song arrangement and a pretty simple mastering chain and called it done. Pretty satisfied with the final result (though I always feel I could spend another week or so mixing/mastering)
