TRANSFORMATIONS

By mzunguko on December 11, 2022 10:33 pm

As I start to reflect on this year, it really has been quite transformative for me in so many ways. It almost sounds cliche to say. For many years, the days would go by, only leading to the next, and my focus was imbalanced, mesmerized by all the blinking lights. I was so focused externally that I didn't see that my own light was burning out, I became so accustomed to the external light that I forgot to add more logs to my internal fire.

All that have visited here should know that it was YOU that brought the logs when I couldn't find any. Whether you feel it or not I am doing the same to you. I have been stock piling all the logs you have allowed me to accumulate this year. I truly hope that if you ever find yourself needing some fuel you come back to this message, take a log freely given from the pile, and add some fuel to YOUR fire. Sometimes we need to be reminded to rekindle our internal flame (I know I have and then some these past few years) that may have been neglected because of all the dazzling lights being pumped in externally.

I didn't do any "mastering" I tried to spend all my time on level, pan, and sound design/choice. Threw a limiter on the master to raise levels and printed the master from the MPC as an mp3. I do struggle with mixing/mastering hopefully my ears are still functioning.
