NERVE

By mzunguko on January 25, 2026 10:57 pm

Everything is in flames, somewhere we have lost our humanity as we stare into this shared experience. I feel it in all my nerves. Where has the simple times gone, were they ever simple? Where are those in power taking us, for me that is a ship I will not go down with. It becomes harder and harder as duality fights for recognition, the pressure is only getting higher. How high must it go before everything pops?

Still working on workflow. Simple bass and lead/FX provided by the Virus, Drums TR1000, one vocal sample for some oohs and ahhs, plus lots of guitar.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Nice melodic elements in this. I love the progression of the track. When the bass drops in to warm things up around the 20 second mark I get giddy. I'd like to hear tighter drums, but that is a personal preference thing. wink

Great song here Mzunguko, The the vocal hums and dreamy guitar, with the breaks, it’s a great blend.

Love the sound on those drums, and the FX stabs are great, add really nice ear candy that fits the vibe of the track.  Very driving on a dark highway just drive...

been thinking a lot about that lately. somehow we've gotta move beyond the binary. i have to believe we'll get there.

this track is so moving. so many great elements working together to bring these strong feelings into focus.
love the fuzzy guitars inviting us in, and then that low end.... hoo!

sending some love your way, Mzunguko

This has an uplifting quality to it.  It certainly raises my spirits.

awesome groove throughout that moves forward with the slick bass progression. Nice work!

Thanks, I spent a bit more focus on the drums this go around, still finding my way around this hardware setup I am attempting to stick to this year to really focus on guitar mostly.

Love the TR1000, despite the price, it really is a beast of a machine that I am just starting to lean into.

When in doubt I can usually find something on the Virus that inspires (my other synths are jealous as they gather more dust)

Thanks, we really are in a pressure cooker these days, I try and throw myself into music as everything else seems to try and suck me into a futile dialectic. Here's to a higher minded 2026, when all else fails I seem to turn away from the world only to peak through my hands like I am at a scary movie, and remind myself it tis but a dream.
