Been resting all week with just a digitakt 2 and an access Ti2. Started with an access patch resampled into the digitakt with using the comb filter, bit reduction, reverb, and delay. This really formed the anchor of the track. Sliced up some samples throughout and added some melodies and bass from the virus and this is what I ended up with.

Still working on hardware only for composition, mixing and arrangement. I did bring it into ableton as a stereo track to add some final MBuss eq (Fabfilter), and compression(u-he Presswork). but all the mixing and glue compression was done on the Digitakt. I haven't quite found the best workflow for song completion on the Digitakt but sticking with this format for a bit. Hope you enjoy!

excellent momentum on this track. i especially enjoyed the weight of the kick drum.
i imagined the kick drum as a heart beating out the message:
"rest, mzunguko. lean into rest. let's rest when we can. breath deep and rest."

I am impressed by the kick attack. The melodies you have layered are nicely integrated. Well done.

I agree that kick drum hits hard.  Love the buildup through the opening and how it ebbs and flows throughout.  And the melodic motifs are indeed pretty and catchy.

2 awesome music buddies to have along with you for the week.  I've always wanted a digitakt for it's cool programming capabilities (and obv more than that) but yea def feeling the groove of this with that excellent kick/hat combo.  Love those bassy tones underneath the kick too.  The piano gives it a nice nostalgic feel too.  Hope the BP lowers for ya and you have a good week ahead.

Thanks you so much for your support. I have been resting quite a bit. I moved a small set of gear out of my studio  so I can rest and still do what keeps me sane. The new meds are finally starting to take hold. Still a ways to go but boy it feels good to not have a headache.
