DOVE_DISCO

A little 4 on the floor never hurt. This track was inspired by the morning doves that visit my bird bath having a bit of a disco. I find them quite humorous as they bob their heads and decide who is next to take a splash.

Last week with the DPO doing bass duties and the main melodic pluck through a modulated low pass gate. Getting pretty used to this workflow so might be the last few weeks before I Switch up my main sequencer. While I really like the digitakt 2 with 16 stereo channels, the sample chopping is a bit tedious. Grid mode does provide some happy accidents but the imprecision leads to a lot of clicks and pops.

I hope everyone is doing well, I am finally starting to feel better and may take another run at organizing my studio space, as it has expanded out in the living room during my recovery. I am really starting to miss having access to more of my gear (some of it still in boxes since I moved almost 2 years ago). While it has been great to be narrowly focused, it is a major chore when I want to reach for something and it is both a pain to find it and an even bigger pain to route. it.

I can really picture birds out on a multicolored dancefloor with a disco ball glittering overhead.  Sounds like a fun avian party.

i am so here for this DOVE DISCO! i get so much joy watching and listening to our birds. now that i know they are listening to secret bird beats, it will be even more enjoyable to witness their antics!
this track sounds fantastic, and i'm glad you have had access to music medicine. wishing you continued rest and healing, Friend heart

love that little groove that comes in at :44! Love this one. Favoriting

Big low end shaking my world, good times. I can see the doves disco bobbing as they do so well! Tasty!

Such a solid groove immediately with the bassline that had me envisioning those disco-dancin-doves bobbin and weavin in the bird bath.  When the kick comes in ooof even tighter.  Suhweet squelchy 303 line too.  Love how it dances in the stereo field.  Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Doves are really funny as they bob their heads and then decide to jump in and splash around. Thanks again for stopping by.

One of my best investments this year was getting a birdbath and placing it right outside our kitchen sink window. I might just have to get a bird cam to capture all their antics. Music is medicine! While I haven’t been in my studio for a long time and I think my partner is getting tired of the expanse of wires into our living room. I do love just sitting down, putting in my headphones and fiddling with dials, sliders, and knobs.

I do sometimes get a bit heavy on the low end, but I do love me some bass I can’t lie.

So glad the paralyzing headaches are gone.  Not a fan of fan of the pharmaceuticals but saving my kidneys and brain cells seems to be a reasonable trade off. A big thanks for stopping by as always!
