I'M SLEEPY

FEEDBACK APPRECIATED ON THE SONG! Thanks for all comments so far.

Recorded this one with my friend Andy. I was jamming a very rough idea of the song over at his one day last year, he liked it, we jammed it once through with some AI-generated lyrics on the theme then set about recording it.

I recorded guitars, Andy bass. Andy took the lead vocals, I recorded some extra vocals at the chorus. Andy on synth. We got stuck on the bridge and then didn't see each other or work on the song for months. In that period I wrote some human-generated lyrics and played it at a bunch of open mics in various forms. Then yesterday I went over to his on a mission to finish a version for weekly beats. Et voila!

Mix by Andy.

WWW:
- Had a lot of fun recording this, rocking out and hanging at Andys in the home studio/living room setup
- I think the main riff came out sounding great. Only two guitars but a triple bass sound
- Recording the vocals was a lot of fun. Enjoy letting loose in the booth. It's a good setup. I remember a few takes in their being pretty high and closing my eyes and knocking into the walls and stuff haha.
- Fun to do another collaboration, good hanging out and working with Andy, always comes with good stuff and enjoy making music with him

EBI:
Ultimately if I had more time on the track there's more I would've changed, added and edited. Maybe cut a bit of the last chorus. Maybe some extra flourishes and transitions like from verse to chorus. Prob a lead guitar somewhere. But I'm happy to retire this song for now and have it recorded for posterity.

Recorded in Kenilworth, UK.

I got here cause you left positive feedback for me.   I really look the guitars, great tone and the vocal arrangement sounds like it would be a lot of fun to sing. Has a 90s vibe somehow...

Yup, this was me this morning, with four dogs howling along just like the song! Delightful and fun!

Solid rock track. Love the guitar tones and no nonsense chord progression.

I feel words could be a bit more articulated, but for sure the way you sing does give a punk rock attitude.

Cool bridge. Nice break.

Really I like the track as it is.

Well played.

oh yeah, this rules. i feel like i was just banging around into the walls with you. there's a great energy to it and i think the recording really suites the song. like if it was more slick if i feel like it could lose some charms.
but i've always been an In Utero > Nevermind person (especially when it comes to the SOUND)

love the extra vocs that come in around 1:28 and then the AGGHHHHHHHH

*also glad you wrote human lyrics  big_smile
