Help Me Please I'm Lost In The Dream (Running and Slummin')

ALL FEEDBACK ON MIX, PERFORMANCE, SONGWRITING ETC. APPRECIATED

One from last year. Wanted some new ones to play at open mics so put this one down quickly with the simplest riff ever. 4 frets on the down. Then just messed around with it.

Chorus melody and lyrics inspo from my friend TK.

Vox laid down from Bangkok. Good little space.

Found time to pump this one over the finish line in a few sessions whilst 'traveling'.
Always fun to record vox.
Learned and practiced first steps of mixing bass and doing EQ on guitars.
Good to feel progress on the mixing front.

EBI
Not sure. Good overall. Maybe tighten up and tidy up some transitions.
Vox overall I think could be stronger, but fun.
More kick at chorus

Once again, the chorus is locked in and rockin!  Good effect whilst travelling anyhow great is Thailand!  I went there last year.

Another rad sounding track!

Some mix feedback: Consider into using a parallel compression bus to add some smack to your drums and give them extra energy. They sound a little too clean IMO.

i really like the drum programmkng. the drums hot hard and have energy!!
vocals are nice! reminds a bit of idles ❤️

cool man!  Like the little pause at 0:33.  The chords remind me a lot of a song one of my old bands wrote.  It feels sort of like a dream, especially the parts with all the mumbled background talking.

Drums are solid! Mix is a little quieter than most other songs on WB but I think it sounds pretty balanced. A fun tune! Thanks for sharing

I like the dynamics! The way the distorted guitar comes in only for half the verse and leaves space. And the punchy chorus with solid drums and distortion. Good punk composition! I can't see any problems with the mix but full disclaimer I'm also hearing it on the phone

Love the  energy of the bass and chorus.   The skip/break before the chorus was 🧑‍🍳👌, so is the speech behind everything

Makes me miss being a drummer! All around this works so well and reminds me of basement punk shows in college. Really fun to listen to! Do agree with the other comment about the drums, they could have some more smack to them. But your arrangement and use of spoken/sung vocals is excellent!

Love the arrangement on this one, feels really comfortable to me. I would definitely listen to this album.

cool sound! I like the part where it returns from the solo/break.

Wow. This is superfun! When are you touring in my city? wink

hard rocker!!
