Yeah. Sounds like a muted rim shot to me. I grabbed a drum loop sample off of Splice for the rhythm section and modified a bit in the Digitakt. I usually put a bit of reverb on and ask a reverse towards the end of 4th bar to keep me on time with everything else.
My sound design is limited to the FX I have in the Digitakt and the guitar pedals I run my own gear through. But that is more than enough to add spice to each sound.
