Sneaking Around

By MRDRCAT on October 13, 2024 10:55 pm

Not much time this week, what with lots of social engagements and lighting my kitchen on fire (which necessitated lots of cleaning and eventually a new oven when the glass door shattered the next day from the stress. Honestly, oven? Hard same.)
BUT we have a new (to us) oven that I managed to install without blowing up the house (yet) and I returned to my first love, GarageBand, for some 80s background music. With light vinyl sim.

Oh geez - I hope the fire damage was limited to your oven! And that it wasn't the social engagement that lit your kitchen on fire. Because if that were the case I would either question your friends, or ask why I wasn't invited.

On to the subject at hand - love this. Those crispy drums, the plucks with the ping pong delay, and those brassy-pads...it's a mood, and it involves linen coats and shoulder pads.

What are you using for the vinyl sim? It's a nice subtle effect.

I agree with Paisleyfrog, plucks with ping pong *chefs kiss*. Sorry to hear about the oven and lighting situation but glad you got this one released. Dig that vinyl sim too!

garageband has some impressive sounds. i was really surprised when i tried it out a few weeks ago.

i'm getting a crime scene forensic analysis in an ace attorney style game set in the 80s vibe from this. the busy percussion really sells it.

Ovens on fire with shattering glass? You're not called MRDRCAT for no reason after all! Joking aside, glad you're fine and the situation's rectified now.

The track gets off the ground in the second half, too bad it finishes soon after. Nice one!

Oh man! Hope all is ok! Loving the bass synths on this, really capturing that retro aesthetic! Nice pads too!
