Scorcher

Gonna be on the road starting Friday, so here's the track! All M8, mostly Wavsynth again with 2 Macrosynth instruments (one is the snare and the other is a stock Kick, which is the only not-me patch). Started this immediately after uploading last week's track, and it kinda came together quickly, but still a little painfully.

I wanted to do something with more space than my usual cluttered, squeeze-sound-into-all-the-spaces approach, and that worked for the first 20 seconds or so before I got noisy again. I did try to work a little harder on keeping a cleaner mix, but honestly I have no idea what I'm doing.

In my frenzy to try adding variation the last third of the track got really cluttered and totally lost the thread, like 3 untrained monkeys trying to improvise. After a lot of deletion and simplification, it was better but not great. Then I just copied the second theme from earlier and pasted it in right before the finale and that actually gave the track enough structure to work. Still a bit wandery, but waayyyy better than it was. Who knew music was pattern based??

Chippy goodness, certainly a different pace from last week's XD

Wandering track are cool too.
Your issue might not be a sound clutter one but an arrangement one.
As a way to learn, try study a track you like that feels like something you'd want to emulate, and copy the structure using your own sounds?
However you feel about it, good work!
