Organism

Only 2.5 hours into this one but I like how it's shaping up. I want to add a quieter B-section with some new instruments and maybe lean into the orchestral angle more. As it is I'm still excited to keep working on it; I just don't have the time. The mix is wonky, but hopefully that's only a "for now" statement.

I approached this one as a companion to Hull Breach, since I like how that one turned out overall, and I was wondering if I could keep going in that vein. This track needs more expressive stuff going on to make it more soundtrack-y, but for less than 3 hours' work, so far so good.

We're back on the M8 this week, reusing some of my original synth patches and adding some Samples from Mars percussion. The orchestral part is something I noodled out in GarageBand just to have some of that flavour. I'd love to eventually release an all-space-themed EP or album.

I really like the percussion on this. Great energy! Keeps pushing forward with an ominous feel that is really engaging.

This is a wild track. I feel like I hear a lot of track that would be good to race to lately and this is one of them ><  like peterm above I like what you did with the percussion and some of the sounds that don’t get a lot of time in the spotlight are great too. Very nice!

i better not ever listen to this while driving. rad!

Thanks! I was worried I went overboard with the percussion - too busy, too many weird sounds. It seems that every time I leave my comfort zone people kinda dig it, so maybe I need to stop worrying so much!

Hopefully when I expand this track I can give some of those neglected sounds their time in the sun! I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Ha ha please don't get a speeding ticket on my account! D'oh - I meant GarageBand. That's what happens when I'm typing and having a conversation at the same time. Fixed. Happy week 20 friend jwh!!

Love the fast pace feel of the synth bass with the drums.  The drums sound so good with those lil pitched snares too. \m/

ah that does make more sense!

Oh man reminds me of Top Gear 3000, speed!!

This is awesome! Very solid for 2.5 hours. (Also, I see and appreciate that speed-treasure tag!) big_smile

He watched Matlock in a bar last night. The sound wasn't on, but I think he got the gist of it. big_smile

Love the sudden quick precision of this track and it's layering depth.  Enthralling!

The mix of the high crsytal bells and heavy frantic low beats is really cool.

High octane and in a constant rush. Very cool synthwork!

It sounds like centipedes crawling all over!

sounds like an 80s chase scene, very captivating. theres fun theres peril, a bit of everything. well sketched

Propelling down the highway! The bass drives hard, love it, and the shimmering synths the sparkles flying by. Nice huge sound, I'd say a good 2.5 hours start indeed!

Love how roomy it sounds, especially the synth/plucks.

oooh!! oooh!!! this is good!!!!! lots of nice tension in this one, I like that a lot. The dissonance at the end is perhaps a bit too much. But other than it's tasty as a tasty thing. Could be longer though!
