Another Happiness Assault!

By MRDRCAT on August 11, 2024 11:47 pm

I don't usually have dynamic melodies, so I set about trying to make one. It turned out way too happy. Like, disturbingly happy. Manic, open-mouthed, sugar-cereal mascot happy. Naturally brickwalled without even being mastered happy. Obnoxiously, horrifyingly, relentlessly happy. And then I ran out of time. Not super sure what to do with this one, but I do like the lead sound & melody. The snare & hat are still my half-baked temp FM-synth noises, but what can ya do. Be happy I suppose? Not like we have a choice with this thing playing.

This is joy. Feels very at home on NES era Disney games. I find it SO hard to compose anything in a major key and happy.

Great synthwork in this one, especially the leads

This is a song about a whale.

NO! This is a song about being happy.

I DON’T THINK YOU’RE HAPPY ENOUGH.

*cough*

Melody and lead sound are great - I do feel properly assaulted. Manic in the best possible way. I really like the hat and snare sound in this - so crispy against the sugary sweetness of the lead, they mix together great.

Digging the energy. Great!

CAN'T... RESIST... THE HAPPY.....

Hahahaha, great job!!!
