I would sniff another butt

By mr_woofmantic on March 31, 2024 7:59 pm

I heard about weeklybeats from my best friend (a human) and I decided to give it a try! This first song is a composition I improvised on the spot on the first take, and I'm really happy how it turned out! I'm using a shure sm58 (looks like a ball, v distracting) and the Ravel Steinway piano plugin from UAD.

I really think this could go viral. For real

The piano sounds so real too. Any tips on how to achieve that?

My my, such a romantic piece. Awoooo!

A dog's life is a good one.

More dog's should play lounge jazz tunes... Delightful.

Awooo!

Haha the vocals here are great! What a great character! Something about it sounds very familiar, do i know you from somewhere?

So clever! Love love love blending the dog jokes in so seamlessly. Awoo.

Sometimes, I have to wonder, about the dog in me.

Instant classic!

this is grrrrrweat

Haha, such a charming idea. And the execution isn't half-assed either. No notes, five stars.

Really enjoyed the piano playing. It’s especially good considering your lack of thumbs. Good boy!

I'm proud to say that I was actually here for the invention of music.

lol @ "looks like a ball, v distracting"

the feeling when a dog is more talented than you......

Haha thank you very much for the kind words and spreading the word!

If you can't find a real piano to play, the second best thing is a good virtual piano, like the one I'm using from UAD Spark, and playing it off the grid, with passion and gusto, and just having fun with it, with the "wrong" notes, the honky tonky, everything! Easier said than done but I got lucky with this one!

Awwwoooooldn't go that far....

Thanks everybody for the nice comments! You made my day like finding a big stick and carrying it across town!

😂 legendary chops. I want to see the dog midi keyboard that made this possible

Legendary piano playing, I suspect you've picked up some tricks from your human. Whimsical good vibes smile

Awooo! Welcome to WB, this is good place for dogs and musical creators of all species. I can relate to your lyrics as a human too. You're on to something. Don't chew up that mic though, you'll need it!
