I'll confess I still don't totally know what LPGs do, but this sounds so goooooooooooood. Those chopped drums fit this perfectly!

Nice breaks over the plucky modular tones. Sounds a bit east coast synth wise. Instantly made of things like the Music Easel.

Low pass gates act as a lowpass filter and VCA at once. Typically they have a trigger that activates a short envelope decay that opens and closes the filter and volume together. "Pinging" the LPG in this way is not as instantaneous as most trigger responses so it has a natural slew to the response.
