Staring at fish

By Mockq on February 22, 2026 7:41 pm

I started with a bass melody and took a preset from Polyend synth..than i had problems with my recording gear and at the end i just took this synth pad, added some effects in ableton and composed a little melody for the short intermission in between.. and by listening to it I thought of a friend and his aquarium and that it might be right for just staring at his fish.

Really nice ambiance! I had to turn the volume up to get all the details. I like the motion of the main pad and then the lead added a friendly touch. I could see the playful fish in the aquarium.

Thank you Ashtom for your compliment, which i appreciate a lot as you are already a master in the field of ambiance.

I really like this! This is super beautiful. My only peace of slightly constructive feedback is that it's super quiet - I think you could probably stand to normalize or at least turn it up a bit - just so we can hear more of that lovely detail on that patch!

Thank you Dadboy for your compliment. I know, i have often problems with the volume and there is a decrease between my mixer and the mac ( Ableton) not knowing why yet..
