Hey folks! This week I wanted to make a VGM track in an old school style, like maybe the SNES era. Enjoy!

Nailed it dude. Definitely sounds a lot like one of the DK stages but I can't think of it.
omg the retro synths are amazing. Is there anything you used to make these?

The canonical SNES plug is chipsynth SFC, but I opted to try to reproduce SNES-like sounds on my own with this track. I used a low quality soundfont with sforzando, made some samples mono only, and paired some with a short delay (~80ms). On the master track I used a bitcrusher to reduce the sample rate to 16kHZ and the bit rate to 12.
Love that percussion timbale hits and snare. Great sounds and pacing.
A song to adventure! I like your instruments, I want to make this music also.
Ohhhh! Please take me to this mystic 16bit jungle ceremony! Well done!!!
The composition is so pretty. I absolutely love the vocal synth parts, I'll never ever get tired of that sound.
adding chipsynth to my wishlist
this is when the monkeys band together and realize they are tired of King K. Rool's oppression.
sounds so good and so emotional. the key change at 1:32 killed me.
