Origami

By Mission Crossing on March 3, 2024 8:46 pm

This is a weird one. But I also didn't use a 303, so I finished Judgement Act's "mission crossing dont use a 303: impossible edition" challenge. Also I borrowed Spider's bird for a bit. BIRDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

It's not mine, but it's nice.

Great mastering.  Sounds super solid.  Just right amount of saturation - and vocals sit super tight / clean.  On-point layering.  Awesome!

This is really warm, spacey and floaty. I enjoyed my morning coffee to this. smile

No 303? Noooooo!

j/k j/k, this is pleasant as is. I like those kinds of arps, they suggest motion, i.e. driving fast through an open road. It reminded me of this late '90s game called Motorhead by Digital Illusions (now called DICE) who started with the fantastic Pinball Dreams / Pinball Fantasies / Pinball Illusions trilogy.

great synth layers here, the distortion feels like it is giving me a hug

Those airy vocals feel so good in this track! Nice job creating a whole atmosphere, love those bird noises.

love the arpeggio, love the bassline, great chord progression. and then the vocals and bird calls come in, all just comes together really nicely. such a great atmosphere.

reminds me of a familiar place just at the edge of memory.

success despite the lack of 303. DAT BIRD! I dig the overall vibe, synth layer on top and vocal samples. *chef kiss*

Flying above a digital ocean. The melody with the delay is like weaving an electric warm blanket, along with that heavy beat. Cool usage of a flute melody above all this, and the slight vocal as well. Very evocative. Birds are also always welcome, nature in this digital landscape are a good touch.

ya!

that horn kind of thing was amazing, almost saxophone?

I think the horn thing was me messing around with Synplant. It can make some really organic sounds.
