Week 2 - Guitar test

By Miraz on January 11, 2026 7:40 pm

This time I tried for the first time to add myself playing the acoustic guitar into one of my music. I don't have a great mic so I used my phone. The quality isn't that great but it was a cool experience

Good composition outweighs sound quality every day of the week.  Good music is good music regardless of how it's made.

That being said, this is gorgeous and the acoustic guitar sounds phenomenal. Definitely keep working guitar into your songs

This is so pretty!!!! Super nicely done! The piano especially feels super warm. We're these all live performed? Amazing!

I think you found just the right place for the guitar in the mix, no matter mic. You managed to fit in quite a lot of things, that feel natural, in only 3 mins. I really liked this!

Very pretty! Sound quality is all right

Everything about this sounds top quality to me! Really great stuff.

Came out nicely. The phone did alright smile

That's a very lovely intro, and then a very lovely guitar piece, followed by more lovely stuff
Really just lovely overall
Love the composition

This sounds great. I'd dare say the phone microphone even makes the acoustic sound a bit cosier. All in all a wonderful piece and a distinct sound world.

very pretty & well - played

Ty so much! The guitar is the only thing performed IRL, everything else are VSTs. I used SRX Piano 2 on the first piano, and the second one is Felt Piano from Spitfire.

Very beautiful piece. The piano goes wonderfully with the synth palette you chose. Listening on big monitors, the guitar doesn't sound lo-fi or out of place in the mix, just quite soft.

If you didn't mention the mic issue, I'd never thought about it. The ending with all its "Music Boxy" vibes is extra nice !!!
