Sunset

This week I spiced up an older song so we could include it on the first Creatures Once EP! The EP is called Return to Start and is available today for free on Bandcamp:
Creatures Once - Return to Start (EP)
Return to Start EP has seven songs, versions of them were all originally released here on Weekly Beats.

This song (called Sunset at Noon on the EP) originally just had guitar, bass and drums. To spice it up, I added horn sounds, vocal samples, changed some sounds, did arrangement and mix tweaks. Its still on the dirvish-in-the-desert, bugnuts crazy side, and thats how we wanted first version to be, but I think there's a chillaxing-at-night version that could be made out of this too.

This one is all about the awesome guitar playing of my bandmate and long time collaborator AM Faulks. We created this in a live session, experimenting, then I did the chop chop and arranged it up. I always thought it had a middle eastern flavor. Thanks for listening, hope you all are safe and able to keep creating!

Oh my god I love this song. Such a good dance and party vibe. Yes, I can smell middle eastern flavor, but it contains much more than this. awesome.

There's definitely a strong middle eastern vibe but I think there's also robots and people at the club and possibly an alien invasion.

Awesome, awesome guitar textures! Nice groove, reminds me of Khruangbin a bit in the beginning.

Congrats on getting the EP released - I dig it!

Your percussion sounds amazing! Love the track and am checking out the album now.  Cool world beat sound with a great groove but unexpected electronic elements really sets it apart.

It feels a lot more Latin than what you described. Great job.

Digging the funky mix between the breakbeats and guitars.  Def hear those middle eastern vibes coming thru midway in the track even more.  Nice work!

fun!

Shoot, this is killer stuff, love the middle eastern vibe of it, great use of the vocal samples and awesome guitar by AM Faulks, will have to check out the EP.
