The voyage was just hard enough. Blisters lightly formed. The current no match for our might. Kayaks beached, we explored deep to the center of this high river island. Soft ground covered in goose droppings. The true inhabitants then took flight. A surreal place full of textures and mystery. We interlopers know nothing.

A little river paddle and island exploration in a new place was a highlight of the week. Recorded and found some sounds Friday, spent Saturday exploring. A little tired and editing today. Enjoying the dubbing. Many new ideas swirling around, hope I can explore more in the weeks to come.

Cosmic Cairns

The bass and percussion give this a solid groove with a little taste of funk.  Some of the fluttery high-pitched sounds give bird-like feels and I think there was a vocal manipulation that really reminded me of the honking of geese.  Sounds like a fun time exploring the world and music.

Oof what a groove when the dubby organ feel comes in on the intro! Loving the delays on the drums too.  Excellent funk feels with the flute which gave me some old school beastie boys vibes. A head nodder indeed!

Yes, grooving to this one, some nice vocal samples and just the right amount of distortion on everything.  Hopefully can get the Kayaks out some time this summer for exploring.
