President Lincoln's Tacos

By miraclemiles on October 4, 2020 9:48 pm

A story we have heard before. Three synth loving time travellers decide to go back in time and warn President Lincoln of his impending assasination. Or is that really their true motivation?
Like the improvised jam session with License, D-Money and myself that all of these sounds came from, new discoveries arise when you muck about with the timeline. These time-signature travellers may have a hidden oscillation. Fast-forward to the year 4040. Lincoln has been resurrected. Theaters have been outlawed of course. But what does the future have in store for the tacos?

This is our full 50 minute jam I created this from:

We just started video recording these too, so will be posting videos of more jams to Creatures Once youtube channel soon too.

What a trip. I love it.

It's worth a try!

I LOLed!

lol I love what you did with this jam. So fun.

A fun (and funny) concept.  There's definitely a whole story going on in this one.  The robotic voices add to the sci-fi time travel feeling.

This is an incredible radio play.  I'm shocked I found this online:

yikes messed up the formatting

Good, glad you did! Super fun jam, and I want to make sure we get some good edits / "finished" tracks from these jams too. Thanks for the driving it with the great sounds!

Thanks! As I was editing, the story really came out to me. When he was doing vocals it was all out of sequence, going everywhere, but after diggreing through the audio, I really heard the story. Made me want to just do fun concept story music.

Oh wow, that is amazing. Glad you shared! I've been meaning to google that. Was actually thinking I may have to sit down and photoshop something.

I like this one, found it and used it for soundcloud posting, from article called "So What if Linoln Was Gay"

Great story, nice crunchy drums and vocoder, mmm now I want a taco.

You always have and will have my full sympathy for everything you do, when you are going over edges.

Ha, yeah it made me want one too. Crunchy sounds for crunchy treats. Finally ate a few last weekend and toasted Lincoln of course.

Awesome, thanks, I appreciate that. Gotta go over some edges sometimes, good to know there's some fellow travellers who can come along for the ride!

oh my goodness i want a taco so bad now... why did you have to remind me about taco's? i guess i have 20 years left to eat them!

i remember touring the theater where Lincoln was shot - if i remember correctly there was  room across the road in the hotel where he died & i remember the bloody pillow encased in lucite - so his dna is around still... this story is plausible

I wanted (and ate) so many tacos the week I made this! Yes, eat em up for the next 20 years. Enjoy, you've been warned.

Your Lincoln story is awesome. That's kinda gross and cool about the pillow. So glad you said this though .. I think we just figured out another piece to this story, we know how we got his DNA now!

ate some home made nacho's last night & talked to my partner about your song & how much we miss the crunchy taco's at our now defunct "taco time"  chain (RIP)

the pillow was gross but memorable - it was a very creepy tour - being in the room he died was really weird/intense

Oh yeah I think I remember that pillow.  Or I at least remember them having everything sort of staged to show where he died.  I wonder if Lincoln ever had the pleasure of enjoying a taco.  If he had maybe he would have been in the bathroom when JWB arrived instead.  Oops sorry your beat inspired some daydreaming lol. I enjoyed the throbbing bassline with all the added sfx seasonings and the vocoder vox.
