No Restraint

Hey Hey, hope you are all doing as well as possible right now.
Here's some more tongue drum infused dub vibes. I didn't make enough time to make music this week, so I sat down today to remix an old one from my band Creatures Once. It was kind of a long jam, so I picked parts to loop and made an arrangement. Chopped and split and all that. The mixing was flowing. Even had time to add some vocals at the last minute.
The lyrics are from a poem I wrote with a friend at a poetry and improv retreat yesterday. We did improv games and a few scenes, then read poems and used then as prompts. For this one, we passed the paper back and forth adding lines. Prompt was "red". He started dark, I went with the vibe and rhymed with his lines. Was great to do that because I probably wouldn't have started out that way, but once he did I was feeling it. Grateful for a day of doing some improv and poetry and being creative with other people. Feels good to be creative with people. One thing I took away from the day was the goal to just let things flow, no questioning or second guessing, no restraint with the creative ideas. See what comes out. Restraint can come later in the process and in other parts of life. Feels good.
