More the Same >> than Different

Another dubby jam created from same session I used as source material for last weeks track. This week I used the final 20 or 30 minutes of the session as the source. So most sounds here recorded live on hardware, then cut up and rearranged a little. Bass and some synths from circuit monostation. Telephone keys and other samples from the Organelle. For FX, some of Live's Echo Dub Syndicate preset, plenty of Sausage Fattener, some Spectral Time, stock reverb, and more. Added live drums and vocals this week to the originally recorded sounds.

One lyric: "We are more the same than we're different." I think that's true.

Thanks to all of you for the great music, comments and discussion, and support, love this community ... inspiring! heart

ok i was trying to find a nice happy gif for this track

and well david byrnes face & this track just kinda merged & made me giggle

sorry/notsorry?

i'm in awe of how this is cut and pasted from 20/30min of recording!!! wow!

Damn, this is really cool from a sound design/arrangement perspective.  Lots of very unique stuff going on here.

Excellent groove and sound of all the varied drums. Especially those snares. Nice work!

Really great collage of sounds and environments happening in this track.   The  marching drums have a cool reflective quality, like when your at a parade and you can hear the drums echo coming off the buildings, before they round the corner.

I like the positive message and the music has an upbeat feel that matches it while also being full of lots of fantastic textures to dig through..

I like the message and the trancey jammy hypno sounds

this electrifying and hypnotizing dope.

Yup agree with the message and lyrics, like that gated choir/vocal, end is dope as sounds sort of fragment and fade out

Nice track with all the percussions and especially the telephone typing, it gives it a delicious retro vibe. for some reason, I am reminded of the twilight zone.

Love the layered, evolving dub here (and 100% approve of the message and all of its nontrivial implications). Very organic flow across the textures, remarkably cohesive listening experience in spite of a lot of content (mad props on that).

haha smile I loved watching David B's (one of my idols) face while hearing this track, thanks for that fun!
Sometimes I want to cut jams short just so I don't have so much to dig through, but I prob never will. Just putting constraint when editing, like I can only pull sounds from last 20 mins or something helps.

One of my favorites of yours.  Great plodding beat and trippy collage of sounds!
