Lost in the Market - Let's Dance

By miraclemiles on February 18, 2024 11:57 pm

All the music here from a jam last night with Monstrosus, my Creatures Once partner in musical fun.
He was playing from Korg Gadget on ioS, I was playing from Ableton with the Push, and tapping percussion on the Roland Handsonic thing.
I went to a warehouse store today. This song still buzzing around my head as I wrestled the cart through the throngs. I got lost in a daydream. Some tasty dance music was playing through speakers tucked between bags of rice and bushels of toilet paper. The throngs of cart pushers stop and dance a while eating their gooey samples and laughing together. The booze aisle gets lively. The demonstration bouncy house is a popular spot. Some of the shoppers are animals. Actually everyone's an animal. This bear comes dancing along. We literally blew the roof off. At least I think it was a dream?
Well whatever happened out there, it was fun to come home and edit last night's jam down and add a few lost in the supermarket dance party samples. smile smile smile

The picture captures the vibe of this track really well.  I think I saw that bear at the supermarket the other day!  He looks like wherever he goes turns into a party and I imagine this music just kind of follows him around.

what a wild vibe! it'd be fun to see how shoppers reacted to this frantic beat instead of the usual AI-generated easy listening playlists.

the vocal samples are cracking me up. I'm gonna have that in my head all evening.
it's Time, to get Lost!

Long distance callers make long distance calls

And the silence makes me lonely

Let's sway

Sway through the crowd to an empty space

Costco and/or Home Depot would be much more fun with this blasting on their speakers.  Gave me some mario-kart meets the warehouse supermarket vibes with the carts clanging and rattling about.  Super fun pace to this groovy track.

Definitely got lost too. This was a weird experience.

I'm all tuned in, I see all the programs
I've got my giant hit, discotheque album
I empty a bottle, I feel a bit free
The kids in halls and the pipes in the walls
Making noises for company

Yes, the bear just brings the party to all the store and woodsy hollows. He has a solid playlist for sure. smile

ha, yes, a weird trip indeed I'm afraid.  Hopefully after getting lost you found your way back to a good place smile

loool fun track! much better than what they play in the store lol

Party at Costco! The elephant is hitting the garbage cans, the monkeys are turning pizzas and playing bass, giraffes breakdancing in the camping section while the bears are just hitting the kitchen because, let’s not waste an opportunity. That’s a fun jam!

This is so fun, awesome description and image to go with the track, I was also at Home Depot yesterday, certainly wasn't as upbeat as this, but still full of animals.  Percussion elements are great on this and nice ravey synth sweeps from korg gadget.

don't get too lost... fun jamz!

Haha, yes, exactly, it was quite a party all around! Turns out Costco is a good place to party!
