licensed beat

Had fun jam with License on Friday night. A highlight of the weekend. It's been many months since the last one. We were both saying how much fun it was, how can we let many months pass between jams?! So this beat is an edit down of one part of the long night. There were a couple other audio tracks that didn't record (forgot to arm recording on them, oops). But what did record and is used here was bass line from circuit monostation, drums from License's Analog RYTM and portable modular rig which was he tamed into spitting out fun madness. We kept saying, where is that sound coming from, who's doing that? Oh the modular is doing its thing. The sequences from the modular kept making me want to play live drums along with it, so I did a lot of that, used some 808 samples on the edrums mostly, and put some of it in the middle section of this beat. Wanted to add some more tracks to this today to replace recordings I missed, but ran out of time, and I kind of like how this ends up more minimal. Since License is all about the minimalism, I think he'd be ok with that plan too.

sick jam! instant head nodder

I love the panning of these blips, the random hit sounds, all the percussive aspect of this track (I guess you have to go all the way percussive all the time smile ). I like how chill that track is, while being appropriately alien and slightly glitchy. That sounds like you guys had a blast.

Sounds like a fun and productive jam session!  It is relatively minimalist, but there are still plenty of crazy things happening and odd noises to wrap your ears around.  Might be just the right amount of trippy.

it certainly sounds like y'all were having a blast! really fun to listen in on this  smile

Love the blips n bleeps throughout this..  From that thick bendy bass to those lil panned out parts.  A fun groove that gets ya nodding in your seat.

Edrums are so cool. Glad you selected them too.  This whole piece was a little bit chaotic and a good choice doing it so.

this is some down and dirty funk. it's got this catchy grotesque groove. it sounds the way biomechanical art looks.

lol baited by the title i was like, you can't post stuff that you bought on WB bruh

SHOUTOUTS TO LICENSE

blows my mind when WBers know each other IRL (I know Ipaghost and Zirafa!)

so much of this could turn into separate songs
2:48 is my jam
