Feel What You - Need - What You Feel

By miraclemiles on May 15, 2022 11:12 pm

Ok back at home, no battery issues, got to hang out this weekend and jam a little. Played the e-drums for a bit, decided I liked this 4 on the floor groove with some conga sounds. Then I had a  very famous soul classic in my head, so I listened to it, then sampled it and played around on the Push chopping and having some fun with it. Put in some 808 sounds. Jammed with the circuit monostation and talkbox pedal again, still not really forming perfect words, but got closer. I think I need a less chonky tube that doesn't gag me. Did some monostation lead and texture things. The slices of the sample I came up with sounded something like the title, and it was a song about love, so there that is. Ah Love. We need to feel it. Kudos to love, I hope we all can feel that emotion sometimes.

that talkbox is DANK, bounce to the ounce baby
that piano is going on a fuckin' reverb voyage!
I'm glad you added moar 808 cowbell in the intro big_smile
that sample is juicy! you told me what the sample was and I don't even remember now lol, so good job masking it! sounds great, nice chops!!
that detuned chord at 1:30ish has tons of flavor.
good Avalanches vibes

Slightly alien sounding and a little disorienting but also really catchy.  Nice one.

Whoa this is pretty wild. I dig it. Feeling the love and happiness

The love and groove are strong with this one. It feels a bit like a pop reggae with electro, in a good way. Head bopping at work while listening to that.

ditto! And whatever distortion was going on is fun i like it too.

Love the 4 on the floor groove. The energy is awesome. This is a fantastic summersong.

Nice mix of old and new sounds, great chopping and and mixing!

Cool sample vibes with the bassline.  The percussion is super groovy and has ya nodding along.  Nice work!

That talkbox sounds rad! Love the reggae bounce and glitch to this track.  Such a fun vibe! Great percussion.

Thank you! ha, this comments makes me smile smile Yeah I wanted to really mask the sample, but it was Can't Hurry Love by the Supremes, stuck in my head all week!

Looking forward to summer with this one. Sometimes a 4 on the floor groove just does the trick! Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you! Glad I got something decent out of the talkbox, harder than I thought it would be!

Thanks, now I know what the Avalanches would sound like if they mixed the drums louder and were more experimental, I guess. Will always have a soft spot for slow and chunky house grooves. heart

Haha, that's awesome, love me some Avalanches, great compliment. Yeah I think I'm learning that I like slow chunky house grooves too, just settles me into a happy place. Slow and Chonky FTW
