Every Week

By miraclemiles on December 30, 2018 11:09 pm

I can't believe this is the LAST WEEK!!. It's bitter sweet feeling. It's been amazing hearing all of this communities music, getter inspired and motived to create a freaking new song EVERY WEEK! Kind of hard to believe we all did it, but here we are.

I had some idea for some big old song with some sort of lyric about doing something every week ... it turned into this. I'll embrace it. Not the first or the last I'll do a kind of globalish sounding kind of happy tune. One of the styles I like and have had the opportunity to try creating here on WB. My friend Aaron Faulks, frequent collaborator came over and did some guitar which I love. So hopefully that makes up for my failure to get vocals.

Having a weekly deadline and a community to share with is the best motivator for creating and getting things done I have ever experienced. I want to keep it going, but even beyond music, so I threw up this site during my holiday break from the day job: https://creativeweeks.org as a little test project to encourage anyone to share any creative creation every week. Have only a handful of people will be signing up to start, and that's good. Still working out a few quirks and adding some polish, but it works for uploading and sharing! Took some inspiration from this amazing site of course. We'll see how it evolves and goes ... any of you are welcome to join up of course, and I hope to see some of you over there soon!

THANKS TO THIS WHOLE COMMUNITY FOR ANOTHER AMAZING YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

This track is a celebration, it's wild and free and makes me want to dance! Sweet layering, these percs are top notch! Thank you as well, it was great to hear your music, teeming with presence every week! I'm bookmarking your site, I might join up later in the year (right now I mostly want to rest lol)! Happy new year and all the best!

Great one to end off the year, as always I’ve enjoyed all the layers and use of different sounds in your music and the sense of fun that comes through, great collaboration with your friend.  That is a fantastic idea for a website, have a wonderful 2019.

A great celebratory track to end WB2018 and to welcome the new year!
If I miss the weekly deadlines too much I might join your site, but right now I think I need a break. Although not doing a new track this week feels a bit weird.

Yeah a very happy and positive vibe to finish things off.  It is strange that the year is over.  It went by incredibly fast.  Thank you for sharing your music each week.  Always lots of interesting details to dig through.  I think I need a small break right now also, but I might drop in on your website!

Love this and I love the guitar.  Really into your "global" turn.  Great evolution for you.

Great track to end the year on!  Glad to be at this party for you - thanks for all the creativity and comments and being a fellow traveller on this incredible music journey with me heart

Sweet song, great finisher.

It's good it's only once every other year though, take some time to recharge and stuff.

Thanks so much! Appreciate your awesome comments and your music all year, glad you were here! I always want to celebrate, dance and be wild, doesn't always work out in life, but might as well make music with that spirit.

Feel free to join up creative weeks any time, it's an experiment, will see how goes, but will be nice to hear some good music such as yours there!

Thank you! So glad sense of fun comes through to you, that's a wonderful compliment. Have enjoyed your music as well! I thought that idea for site would be good too, we'll see how the experiment goes. All the best to ya.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, join up anytime if you want, will see how it unfolds. Starting small. I need bit of break too. I'll probably take one from music, but may use the creative weeks to play with some music visualization, writing and other creative pursuits, but we'll see.

Sending some happiness your way! Thanks very much for this listen and comment and all of those this year, and your creative tunes. You're a big part of this community and its been good being on this ride with you.

Drop in on the site anytime. It's a little baby seedling now, we'll see how she grows!

That's nice to hear, thanks! I always waffle on if I want to embrace that direction or one of the others I like. Do them all I guess. But nice to hear what people think always.

Thank you too, for the music, comments that make me smile and travelling this musical road, tra la la. Onward we go.

Hey thanks! I agree, time to recharge indeed. I hope to not work too hard on the new site, but I need to keep creating or I'll turn into a bitter pill. Thanks for all the comments and creativity. Have a great next year!
