Dispo Flow

Late submission! Missed the deadline due to end of daylight savings time (a practice I think is silly and annoying ... do farmers really care about this anymore?). Thanks to the WB moderators for letting me upload late.

Production on this one partially inspired by Seal's "Crazy". Tried a vocoder technique on instrument track using drums as carrier that that song used. Used that for the percussive, textural sounds in background of this. The rest was the usually playing around and experimenting and having some fun, including some good old voice vocoding. Borrowed some chord progressions, then made up some of my own that probably make no theoretical sense. The chaotic synths are a couple tracks of Wavetable, arped. Thanks for listening!

Super cool progression of rhythms and percs, keeps everthing nice and dynamic. Dig that organ too big_smile glad you were able to get an upload link big_smile

Neat, neat, neat! So much to like here.

Farmers never cared about Daylight Savings; it was strictly a propaganda move during WW1 ("the Germans are up working while you're sleeping!!!")

Cool chord progression and super thick drums/percussion throughout.  The arps in the middle are especially nice as they noodle about.  Nice work!

nice flow!

Cool that they let you upload.  Daylight savings time is annoying.  Loving the tribal beats and crazy synth sounds on this.

Great track, love the percussion. So many cool things happening throughout this track, well done!

The vocoded drums sound crazy! Love all the percussion.  The chaos of the leads and melodies are perfect match up with the vocals. The track has a middle eastern feel. Lots of styles and change ups.  Nice work!

Thank you, glad you liked. smile That's interesting history, is that true? Sure sounds like could be true, sheesh. Need to go look that up now.

Thank you very much! Yeah, I think I used a progression from a midi library I have, and wrote some other chords. Noodling arps are one my fave things these days.

Thank you! Was worried too many change ups and styles, but I like doing that, glad you liked it too. I think I've done a few that kind of "accidentally" had middle eastern feel. Need to think about that some more .. hmmm, what does it mean??
