Bouncing Third Eye Ball

By miraclemiles on October 30, 2022 11:56 pm

This week's song came from experimenting with the Inspired by Nature Ableton Live devices by Dylan Baston. There's a lot of bouncing balls in these Max for Live devices, really fun devices for randomization, and free for Live users: https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/inspired-nature/.
Also a first experiment with 3rd Eyez device from the Ableton Drone Lab pack. So due to these devices, I saved the project with this title, figured I'd keep it.
Then a flute! Finally a flute!  It's been too long since I have used flute sounds. I think flutes should be used at lest every 8 to 12 weeks. This one was a bamboo flute sample from somewhere, flipped in Simplr. Did some abstract vocals and other sounds. A few drum tracks using samples and some Live kits. Video was created using some gifs by https://livingstills.nl/ downloaded from Giphy. Mashed up and added effects using Zwobot in Live.

I actually had to put a flute restriction on myself because I was too addicted to flute sounds for a while.  They are nice and work really well on this track.  Gives it an uplifting and joyous vibe.

This is hilarious. I never thought Batman played a little flute before. Everything has happened. I bet he's charming a snake. I wonder if Batman would like this song, it's appropriate for a certain category of adventures. Perhaps foiling Poison Ivy's evil vines that can only be tamed by a flute.

Wow, that's interesting, good to know! YOLF (you obviously love flutes), as do I, a fellow YOLFer? I think I can relate. Although its been like a year since I did a flute so probably don't need a restriction just yet. I think Flute Restriction would be a good song title, or title of memoir for someone who loved flutes but just had to restrict themselves, and took up heavy metal guitar instead. Glad you found this uplifting and joyous though, thanks1

mystical magical heart

It sounds like a mad jam in a cavern. The flute is magical! It goes beyond space, bleeding into other dimensions. The groove is strong and takes us back to ancient celebrations around the fire. What a trip!
