Boopity

Alternate title: No Bad Drugs.

I lost the words I typed somehow! I need a nap. Well I got the song up anyway.
Some fun with hardware this week, and allowing some fun weirdness to manifest.
Bippity Boppity Boop

And here's more words added after submission:
So goal was to do some creation on hardware. The main little synth part from the circuit monostation, as well as the busy synth in the middle. Then there's a quick interlude in the middle done on the pocket operator speak.

Vocals were all through organelle effects. Making up some words as I went, but I started with the words: "there are no bad drugs", inspired by the show Midnight Gospel episode 1, which I'm enjoying. Maybe there are bad drugs though, well bad experiences can be had for sure ... they discuss in the show a bit, I'll have to go back and watch again, I think the person being interviewed on that episode was Dr. Drew. It's like podcast audio set to awesome animation from the Adventure Time creator and company (one of my fav animated shows).

cool 80ies hip hop reminescence.

Totally agree with above, slowed down 80’s bboy feel to it, the organelle looks like a fun piece of gear.

Heh.  Even without the word boopity that's exactly what the music sounds like.  Oh.  Really like that crazy noise that comes in right before the minute mark.  This is really fun!

LOL I love the panning voice at the start. This has a pretty crazy energy, some parts of it sound like they're on the line between fun and dystopian. Love the production.

Thanks! I dig that, good old 80s hiphop.

Thanks for listening, yeah this one kept reminding me of tom tom club genius of love or something like that, total 80s vibes. I love the organelle, lots of crazy patches. I did the vocals here through it, has some fun effects to use on vocals.

Thanks! gotta get those fun boopity fun times in. Yeah this does sound like boopity music, may have to add that to the growing list of genres we're coming up with here on WB smile Those middle sounds are from the mono-station, then a quick interlude right after the minute mark from pocket operator speak - both can get real crazy.

Thanks very much! Yeah, I think I had a bit of dystopian mindset as well as fun, good call out on that. Glad you liked production too - always good to get some of that right on a track even if the rest is just whatever.

This is so dope. Vocals are awesome, drums are slamming, and the synth riffs are great.
