Auggies Doggy

Started this week tapping out a beat on the Push at about 125 bpm after listening to Be Right There track by Diplo and Sleepy Tom, the feel and groove kind of got in my head. Then tried to figure out where to go from there and I remembered a live jam with collaborator AM Faulks from a few weeks back so dug that up and found the guitar parts. went through and found a few loops that I liked and dropped them in. I had been playing live drums during the live jam, but the recording was junk, so back to the Push for more finger drumming. New parts I tapped out were a little looser, busier, less like a rigid EDM beat that I originally had. Tapped some more long parts to dig around in and along with the guitar and tapped out the bass (Operator Boffner preset, I wanted to come up with different bass sound, or experiment more, but didn't have time and it works OK I think), and the rhodes and synth parts. One of the high synth parts is my voice pitched up and sidechained with the drums. Some vulf compression and sausage fattener in various places, some subtle auto-pan, and the first time I've used MFL Humanizer, which put on the drums and bass to make those quantized parts more human to go with guitar, which I didn't alter much at all. Title: I had called the project August something, and my dog was sitting by me as I finished, so there it is.
