Arrival of the Unsaid

By miraclemiles on February 8, 2026 11:58 pm

Hey, happy week 6. I hope you all had a good week.
I skipped last week's track to focus on a video project. I didn't end up finishing the project in time for deadline, and I missed the weekly music creation. A good reminder that I like making music each week, but I'm giving myself permission to skip some weeks too.

This week I decided to dig through the vinyl crates. Grabbed some samples. Simple slice and chop in Ableton on the Push. Jammed out many parts sitting on the couch watching movies Saturday night. Dub vibes were calling me. All sounds from the various vinyl samples except some of the drums that I played live on the edrums today. Had some fun with effects and mixing. I could have played with this for hours more, but here we go, onward to the next.

Love the groove and trippy dub vibes of the drums with the bass.

The rhythm is groovy and the samples sound great.

Very cool groove, and inspiring... I recently found a some crazy vinyls on a treasure hunt, I might have to sample them up and put it in a beat.

One of my fav things to do, so fun to chop, manipulate and work with the vinyl samples.  Did I hear some Chuck D in there?

soooo groovy \m/

Soo fun, you are a master at it too! Hah, not Chuck D, but I'm a fan. That vocal's from Last Poets "When the Revolution Comes"

Glad you're groooooving on jwh, thanks!

Oh hell yeah, this fuckin bops.

Sometimes we need a break, the weekly schedule already pressing me.

This song felt inspired. There's spontaneity and surprise there but really clear intent and  focused sound and thats all a kind of nonsense way of saying I am envious, because this really sounds like an idea that manifested itself and left you with so many more journeys to come. Awesome work.

That drum sound is huge! I love the snare sound and the groove with the bass sound. And of course a super trippy psychedelic soundscape.
Are these flutes with delays that enter midpoint?
Chaos from 2:37 onwards! Love it

Groovy! Love the dischordant attitude. big_smile

So true, gotta have a break!
I really like and appreciate the comment! Makes me want to keep manifesting ideas and going on the journey!

Thanks! Glad you liked the drum and bass, that's probably what I cared about this most, but a trippy soundscape never hurts too.
Yes those are some flutes played with repeating notes and delays, forgot where I got that sample, maybe some jazz record.

Thank for listening! All about the groove, the dischordant attitude often comes along for the ride wink

The running time of 3:03 primed me to expect some acid, but I'll take live drums any day, too. Powerful stuff and the reverb on that snare sounds exquisite. And the finale goes to 11 on that, so I'm pretty pleased.

Ha, yeah I have been thinking about making something acid-like. Will have to keep a 3:03 runtime for sure if so!
Thanks glad the live drums don't disappoint and glad you liked finale!

Insanely GROOVY with this bass. LOVE IT.
