had this idea for a weird synthy garage beat where only one instrument is allowed to be triggered at a time, no layering allowed apart from how instrument envelopes and reverb. turned out to be a fun little composition/production challenge! hopefully i didn't accidentally cheat hehe

Clever limitation you put on yourself. Mandatory counterpoint! The drums are playing the bass comp sidechain like it's its own instrument. Neat track.

everything by definition disjoint, but feels tied together where you chose to mirror rhythms through the parts, like a cascading effect.
good choice of voices too, the different tones play off each other nicely, and the gradual filter sweeps push the track trajectory
