Found In Your Place

I'm a bit late to the party, but I figure there are still 45 weeks left in the year, so I'm going to go for it!
This is a song I've written for Easter. I'm a Christian songwriter, and I love exploring behind the clichés that worship artists often use. Christians talk about Jesus taking our place on the cross, but what does that actually mean? And if Jesus took our place, then where do we find ourselves?
Did you see our Saviour there
As he hung on that cross?
It was my cross, it was my cross
Did you see the nails they drove
Through his hands and his feet?
They were my nails, they were my nails
One thing I know
Jesus, you took my place
And now I find myself in yours
Wearing the glorious crown
That you gave me
A seat at your table
The place you have saved me
A Father who welcomes me
With delight on his face
‘Cause, Jesus, I ’m found in your place
Did you hear the voices mock
As the king bowed his head?
It was my shame, it was my shame
Did you feel the crown of thorns
That they hung on his brow?
That was my crown, that was my crown
One thing I know
Jesus, you took my place
And now I find myself in yours
Wearing the glorious crown
That you gave me
A seat at your table
The place you have saved me
A Father who welcomes me
With delight on his face
‘Cause, Jesus, I’m found in your place
With a cry he breathed his last
And the day turned to night
That was my death, that was my death
On the third he raised his head
To be crowned with new life
He was raised up, I was raised with him
One thing I know
Jesus, my righteousness
My defence, my life, my all
Wearing the glorious crown
That you gave me
A seat at your table
The place you have saved me
A Father who welcomes me
With delight on his face
‘Cause, Jesus, I’m found in your place
