Theme to Virtual Recollection 1

A friend of mine commissioned me to write the theme of her new story based video game podcast, Virtual Recollection.

It's a mix of Retronauts and This American Life. I wanted to write something that was like the NES meets NPR.

I am presenting this with one other more energetic track. Your thoughts would be lovely.

Her first episode is out featuring a few songs from my recent NES catalog. It's stories about Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time.

Cool 9-bit stuff. Lots of reverb (maybe too much?). Really like the bouncing drums at the end with the snaps and claps too.

This is great!  Great mixing and production here.  I can hear the NPR voice in my mind "ON TODAY'S EPISODE, WE'RE GOING TO EXPLORE THE OCARINA OF TIME."

Abrupt ending, but I'm assuming they are going to fade that out?  Also nice intro that will be good for looping in case they need more time.  Very professional, Mr. Mechlo!
