Won't Leave You Behind

By Martiln on January 28, 2024 1:58 pm

I wrote most of this early in the week but then went camping so had to finish this in 2 hours after we got back, which is why it's a bit rushed. I wanted to add a little more structure and length (it's too short) and have a better mix. The vocals are also not fantastic because of this but I still put them in there, which I'm happy with! I literally just ran them through an auto-tune and sung them super poorly, hahaha.

I hope you like it. smile

Lyrics:

Will you remember your pain
Or will everything remain the same
We could escape all these games
If you just put some faith in me

We’ll make it out
And get far away
I’ll find a place
Where we won’t
Fade away
Into the dark
I won’t leave you behind

If it works, it works. I'd say it does.

Sounds good to me.  While it's usually not preferable to be rushed, sometimes a little bit of a time crunch can make you focus in on what's really important.

What a fun little journey! The vocals sound great and that pumping sidechain carries the track like a rollercoaster, it's awesome!

big sound and two nice drops, solid week! enjoyed this

Amazing track. Super pro stuff. It might be just me and my headphones I'm using but the big beat drop at 1:30 has some bass ducking that seemed to cut in a way that hurt my ears after a while.

Yeah, I totally agree with this. In hindsight I'm actually quite happy with this!

Thanks a tonne!! How interesting the ducking hurts after a while, I'm really curious about that!
