Been developing an online jamming system with aday over the last week - testing out a few methods, we ended up ditching two of those and going ahead with a system in MaxMSP sending audio to each other as matrices over TCP/IP. Getting interesting results, especially when sending downsampled audio and reconstructing it on the other side getting weird interpolation and sample rate gating. More on this to come.

Spent most of my jamming time testing and building systems for the above - had fun scraping together this week's submission from files generated during the session.

The melody line in this is from aday collected on my side interpolated in a weird way. There's some kalimba samples I recorded and electro magnetic field samples from around the house forming most of the rest sequenced by my march sequencer.

Audio as a matrix is a sick idea. Would be curious about the latency/reliability, especially if sending over UDP rather than TCP? Like, it'd be super rad if sending over UDP the matrices got somewhat warped as a result of dropped packets, but still reconstructed just fine with bits of missing information. Or altered/jumbled information.

Fuckin' great track.

Very enjoyable craziness.  So many great tones amongst the chaos.

This is right on my level right now.

Crazy sounds like coke bottles and radio waves. I hear astronauts talking to insects smile

So many awesome nuggets of ear candy in this.  I have no idea how you did this but it sounds awesomely chaotic.  Nice outro too.
