City of Crickets

Out of random curiosity I managed to shove the microphone out the window and turn up the gain. Actually found that it sounded pretty awesome with the sounds of various insects and the cars in the distance.

It felt like a cityscape for a civilisation inhabited by insects (who use motorvehicles) and I put some free improvisation over the top and gave my best shot at improvising with the sound events that occur. It's pretty much avant-garde compared to the rest of the stuff I have released.

Nice, dude! The tone of the bass correlates nicely with such ambient textures ... it really worked with the free improv!

Lovely piece. Really nicely done.

I love that! The composition is intriguing, and the range of sounds you get out of your instrument is amazing. The insects sounds fits nicely in the background. Great work!

lovely atmosphere smile

Great work! I think your improvisation worked very well with the soundscape/field recording.

avant-garde it is smile The blend with the field recording is very very nice!

Very well executed.  Sounds great.

Nice sound indeed. Did you want it to stop sharply at the end? There is a lot of potential with your ensemble nature + city + bass.
