Sock Drawer Dragons

By lulub4ts on February 8, 2026 11:55 am

☆ Where are all my odd socks? Darn it! Be there thievery afoot?! Odds are (or evens are, even), you might have a case of Sock-Drawer Dragons. Tiny whispy little wyrms who slip into your bedroom drawers and steal the cosiest of your socks to use as tiny-dragon-sized sleeping bags, woolly little caves of a more modern age. They bring good luck, so don't fret if you lose a sock... you may have gained an invisible friend ☆

Not sure why I imagined very tiny fluffy dragons swirling in a set of drawers as I made this song, but here we go.

Made with Lovely Composer again; I learned how to use chords this time (still learning on the program, still heaps to find out). I would've liked to have varied the patterns more, but this is all I could manage in a busy week. (Again, I hope I didn't subconsciously channel some existing song...!)

I missed last week. I was vomiting my guts up for an entire 24 hours (after a big night, don't feel too sorry for me) and through the haze, I thought, 'I CAN STILL MAKE A WEEKLY BEAT! I CAN STILL DO IT!'. But then I stopped myself and realised, 'huh, maybe it's better to stop and take care of my body this week so I can make a beat for next time in a stronger way. There's always next week to continue the challenge'. It's good to know one's limits. Still, let's try not to miss another week  (•̀ᴗ•́ )و

I like the story behind the song and the music has a fun whimsical quality to match it.

I love this, and the Lore fits perfectly. Fun!

The mix is a bit rough, but I love the whimsy.
