untitled 2

this started out as another ambient adjacent style that I've been trying to flesh out more and evolved into some big beat from your favourite early 2000s ps2 era extreme sports game or movie trailer with some emotional edge.
it was fun to explore a new style that i listened to a lot growing up through games like ssx 3 (particularly Andy hunter's 'go'), nfs underground and even tiger woods pga tour 2003 (had the absolute banger 'ready steady go' by paul oakenfold which this track was reminding me of as I was finishing it off).

overall i'm happy with how it turned out, but idk if it is from listening to this for a full week or what, but it feels like it is missing that final 5% to give it the sense of tense urgency that i wanted to convey. i had a hard time nailing that last bit down and decided to leave it where it is for now and see how if it feels when listening back to it in a few weeks.

thanks so much to everyone who left such great feedback last week, hopefully this one is interesting in a different way.

thanks for listening smile

Solid dnb, bit of a dramatic cinematic edge. I enjoyed it a lot.

Nailed it! Or am I just loving this because I was up till 3 last night playing ssx3.

I love everything about this. The ethereal ambient parts broken up by hart-hitting beats - it all sounds so epic. Really reminds me of Tom Salta's Atlas Plug project (criminal we only got one album).

man every week you surprise me !!! amazing tune!!!

that's a name i haven't heard in a long time. that atlas plug album and a lot of the electronic/rock hybrid 'production' music like blue stahli's antisleep vol. 1 were on heavy rotation when i was a kid
