Having said that it's bit... not enough whimsy ? for Pokemon route music. It fits jRPG (and Pokemon) vibe, but it gives more sentimental/emotional vibes of the story. Pokemon town could work here really well (coastal town?) I think

The quiet drums are perfect with this 6/8 (?) time signature.
