Half Year Trauma Fight

By Lizenn on June 28, 2026 9:22 pm

Hi

I had a really rough week between tough family issues and the 40°C+ heatwave. So I rushed something with no inspiration but with instruments dear to me. Wanted to make a rock-ish guitar song because guitar, bass and drums are what got me into music thanks to my dad, my sister and my brother in law. And since they are very dear to me and we're going through rough times, it felt like the thing to do. It doesn't tell much per se, because it's just easy harmonies but it was really important to me to make it to the 26th week. Half a year is quite an achievement for a first, I'm very proud and veeeeery tearful.

I'm definitely not stopping there thought !

Thank you for being such a wonderful community and to gave me an opportunity to create and hang on a project for once in my life. Sending y'all a lot of love !

Yeah, half a year! Bientôt 52 au fond, hâte d'entendre la suite ! Also congrats on having your titles feature the week number, which is not an easy feat either

Congrats on pulling this thru even with the tough times.

Take care. Love the guitar layering. Cool tones, nice "slow" soloing.

oh i wrote a comment and it disappeared, but very proud of you (us!) finishing the challenge! It's a massive thing, 6 months of creating! That's a big chunk out of your life. The track sounds great, I'm listening to it from Helsinki, with the window open and bird sounds peeking through.

Everything is going to work out in life, and remember to drink water with electrolytes smile

Thank you so much for following my journey !! big_smile I'm also very curious to see what lies ahead for me and everyone ! And yeah, the name challenge is holding up haha ! I'm starting to feel a bit running in circles with that so I may drop it at some point, but nonetheless very fun ! Congrats to you too ♥

Thank you so much ! I still try to figure out how to articulate guitar pieces with my lack of technique, but I'm happy it's kinda working out. Congrats to you too, and take care as well ♥. Thank you so much for always commenting under my songs !

Damn ! I hope I didn't remove it by accident (I don't even know if it's possible and if the "remove" option on comments has a confirmation so... I do definitely hope it's not me D:)

Yeah ! Thanks for the pride, and do take some for you as well ! It is indeed massive. When I started I thought I was going to last 3 weeks and drop it, and to realize it's already been six month feels a bit insane haha ! I'm always feeling like I'm running behind something with weekly beats but I wouldn't want it any other way !

I almost can picture it but I've never seen Helsinki. I'm sure it's a beautiful scenery and I'm really moved that you're enjoying it while listening to my piece ! I hope the european heatwave is not going to reach the north too much !!

Thank you very much for your kind words, it means a lot to me.

whoa - those are really nice guitar parts. i like the feeling of this... happy/sad maybe (for me, at least)
congrats - 26 weeks is a huge accomplishment! hope you keep going
