What a Waste

What I really wanted to do this week was to get this JavaScript MIDI stuff going hard, and do some Cichlisuite-esque beats, but it wasn't in the cards. I felt like throwing the kitchen sink at this one but I bit off more than I could chew, ran out of time, and turned it into a kind of reggae thing. I was hoping to make something more ambient but there's a bit of reverb and arpeggiator action so that's alright I suppose. The riff is something I came up with when I first got my monologue.

More JavaScript MIDI processing but I was having all sorts of issues with it - monologue flinging CCs inappropriately at the Octatrack, stuck notes on the volca FM, breaking everything when I tried to filter CCs through software.

This felt like too much to keep track of and I think it became this brittle house of cards on the verge of toppling over. I think I want to pare it down and keep it tight for next time, maybe focus on the Octatrack and Nord Drum 2.

Sounds like a lot MIDI madness! I like the bass in this, and those synth arps and pad, tasty! I like when the beat gets simpler in second part about half way. I guess I can feel a reggae vibe, but wouldn't have thought of that as label had I not read in the descript. Head bobber for sure.

Spacey and hypnotic.  Nicely done.
