summer cloudscape

By levelcapybara on June 14, 2020 4:06 pm

Cloudy skies are rare in summer. But they came back for bit over the weekend. So that's something.

These days are otherwise disheartening, between the persistent police brutality and the current administration's apathetic commentary on it. But there are things we can do to promote change. A lot's going to hinge not just on voting, but on protecting voting rights and countering voter suppression. Organizations like the NAACP Legal Defense Fund seem to be raising funds to accomplish just that, so consider researching these initiatives and spreading the word.

Take care of yourselves and each other, friends.

I really wish more people would get involved in their local elections as well. A lot of change comes from our local communities and if we could do what we can to replace the corrupt politicians with reputable, honest ones then that would go a long way to helping us fix stuff at the federal level.

As for the song, very hopeful and positive vibes coming from this one. The piano line is really cool, I like the use of the pedal notes. I need to keep my eyes peeled for a cinesymphony sale because I really want access to some of these sounds.

Awesome track; nice touch with the hi hats peeking through the background!

I also recommend watching 13th; it really opened my eyes to the history of incarceration in the US.

really nice melodic vibes...

Nice track man, very well put together.  The pizz strings with delay are a really cool idea.

I like the music. It's very well put together. Let's not forget that still exists.

True enough. And thanks for the feedback! As for Cinesamples, they never really get cheap (sigh), but at least you don't have to shell out for the full version of Kontakt to use most of their stuff. They're usually relatively generous with Black Friday / student discount deals. They've been having a lot more sales lately too: sometimes their stuff even goes 50% off.

Much appreciated. I've been having a lot of fun with delayed pizzicato this year. smile
