merfolk mall

The title is just so great. It's a bit bizarre and takes us straight into dream land. The glassy lead sounds like they come through the depth of the ocean. That beat is really good, bringing a lot of pulse to this track.

The decent vibe here is fantastic. There is a lot of space and air over that driving beat. Well done.

This scratches a nostalgic brain itch for sure. The intro synth+drums had me thinking of some vg music like Super Monkey Ball and Diddy Kong Racing, but the vibe is definitely different. Really like the higher synth and vocal sound that come in a bit later.

I love the combination of the percussive/bass rhythm section with those washed out synth pads. It does appropriately feel like an underwater mall, haha. Like it's slightly too upbeat for typical underwater music but the additional context of "...But in a mall though" makes it fit nicely.

Those trailing pads that come in over the EPs around 30secs sound so soothing.  Feels like I should be on a tram that goes much faster than a normal tram yet glides from destination to destination with ease.  *boop* Next stop....

this is really great! such a great sound on this one. cheers!

I really like the vibe of this one. I kinda just started staring out my window and spacing out while I was listening to it. Just sort of noticing all the details of everything I was looking at. Definitely puts me into a contemplative mood. Nice work!

Definitely some good mallsoft vibes with this one. Feels nostalgic without being excessive. Nice use of vocal samples, they carry your hallmark style!

that reversal kinda white noise sound is so good

and that thing at 1:15 that alllllmost sounds like a voice - beautiful

I'd love to play both of those games someday. big_smile The sounds are mostly from a Korg M1 VST, so that may be where the familiar retro feel is coming from. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I struggled with the title on this one - titles are usually the last thing I come up with. But I'm glad to hear it ultimately worked out okay. Thanks!

As a fellow spacer-outer (outer-spacer?), I'm really glad to hear the track had that kind of effect. Thank you! heart

Thanks! My only regret was failing to get the panning right on the vocals for the left-right bouncing pattern I wanted originally. Glad I got to share a corrected version with you though!

It's where all the cool fishpeople hang and use words like "fish sticks" like they own the place.
Damn kids.
Good pizza though.
