goodbye moondude

By levelcapybara on December 22, 2024 4:13 pm

Legends tell of a dude who lived on the moon. He was the Moon Dude.

He, his companions, and their respective tracks taught me so much this year. It wouldn’t be right not to give them a proper farewell.

So long, Moon Dude and friends. Maybe one day we’ll all meet again. wink

Just one more week to go. See you all at the finish line!

Beautiful music.

Love the filthy analog-ish noise in this. Very gothically moon-ular

So epic, what a sendoff for our hero. The vibes are immaculate, the pianos + vocal pads and crackly goodness, everything feels so cohesive. Feels both like home and like outer space lol Also jeeez the hard cut-outs are used so well. Awesome!

i was not expecting to feel this emotional about Moon Dude.  heart
salut, Mood Dude.
salut, levelcapybara.

thank you for sharing your music, and stories, and kindness.

I remember when I first heard the legend of Moon Dude (earlier this year mayhaps). Oof the opening note just sucked me in with the grit, the bass and how it's perfectly in sync with the piano.  The 1min mark the clouds part and your lovely themes make their presence known.  It's been a friggin awesome year listening to your music this year.  OMFG the 1:51 mark yikes is just friggin awesome!  The emotion in the piano theme but those dramatic pauses just make it extra epic.  Feels like I'm on a floating city with the roots hanging below gazing up at the dark sky wondering if Moon Dude will return.  This was gorgeous and that 1:51 chorus is one of my favs this year from you!  Faved, Saved, Inspired! heart

Thank you! I hoped those cutouts might help break things up and give the track room to breathe. Glad to hear they worked!

That feels so awesome to hear Tone Matrix, thank you! The Moon Dude track from week six was probably one of my favorite things I got to work on this year, so I was really hoping to revisit it at some point and to make it special. It's been a fantastic year getting to hear your latest tracks too. Just one more to go! big_smile

Goodbye, you great hero
we barely knew you, but we hope to see you again soon
