loving this so much! gives the vibe of The interesting transition period of RPGs from PS1 to PS2.
This chord progression is some wizardry, the doubled synth/vocal melody is so pretty and makes the movements between chords feel way more intuitive than they actually are. Feeling a really nice balance of flow and tension here.
This reminds me of something I heard in a game but I can't quite remember, it's so good I'm playing it again and again, definitely could use a 10 minute expanded version!

+1
Also see a similarity with the music in stuff like The tetris effect but yea ps1 rpg vibes for sure
this seems slightly quiet to me?
or maybe because I like my LCB CRANKED
the arpeggiated chords are epic on this one!
Love the spacey chord progression especially when the space opera vocals kick in. Moondude wants to stop for food.
I like these long arps. It feels like they bring structure to the track, like the skeleton around which the other sounds rotate. The soprano singing from the mid point is a really nice touch. It reminded me of the old Star trek for some reason.

I agree with the star trek link. This triggers some nostalgia.
This song is me loading up on new gear for the next adventure
Happy travels in space, friend!
Adventurous!
Thank you!

Thanks! It's definitely a big influence on me (despite having missed it the first time around growing up).
Space frontier vibes
Thanks!
Wow, I feel like going back to 2003 and playing Xenogears. Love it
I missed out on Xenogears, but I'd love to try it someday if they ever bring it back. That and Xenosaga. Anyway, thank you!

Thanks! Transposition definitely helped with the chord progressions, though it did make coming up with a fluid melody a bit tougher. Glad to hear it worked out okay though!
Thank you!

In retrospect, I would've loved to expand this one if I'd had more time. I'm very grateful to hear you say it has that potential though. Thank you!

Happy to oblige. Thank you!

Guess I'll have to work on being more consistent with my cranking then. Thanks in the meantime!

Hehe, thank you.

I actually meant Xenosaga, that’s the futuristic one. I think Xenogears was like medieval fantasy?
Very exciting place, great prices, too.
It could also for phantasy star, perhaps.
