Well, back to the usual stuff. This one's a follow-up to a WeeklyBeat I wrote in 2020:

I tried to make it a bit zestier this time around. Hope it turned out okay!

This hits me like a montage of a foreign city in an early 90s drama movie

the  v i b e s  are just so relaxing.

I love both versions of this song, the zesty and mild flavors.

Love the shift at the 2:17 mark. So pretty.

Sweet man, very chill.  Both versions are cool in their own ways, but the driving rhythmic element is much more prevalent in this one so I definitely think you found the zest you set out for.

Very cool 6-8 ambiance, not quite the same as my tune this week, but same time signature. smile

Sounds very nice. I like the percussive elements.

And yes I do think it did turned out pretty ok. smile

Nice and chill! big_smile

The texture stack in this is pure peace. Could listen to this on loop for hours.

That. Yes there is something there. Like an exotic island. And for some reason the melody reminds me just a tad of Westworld theme (but that's just me). I liked that track a lot, great use of percussions and staccato melodies, it worked very well.

Lovely music in perfection. Supergood.

This has some nice uplifting vibes in it.

This gives me the PBS show opening sequence in the best way possible. Love it

woops never listened to the old one, my b

when those STRINGS come in, you are too good at that.  i think i would have turned down the drums a scootch just because I love the strings so much.  i just want to cry happy tears

Could it be because of…the vibraphone? big_smile
Thank you both!

Thanks everybody! It means a lot to have feedback comparing both versions. Orange Drink, thanks for the feedback about the mix - it's helpful to know since I tend to lose track of how loud the percussion gets in my mixes compared to the rest of the track. I'll try to strike a better balance going forward!

Transitions are something I've been actively focusing on a lot more lately, so I'm glad things worked out okay here. Thank you! big_smile

I love it. Thank you!

Beautiful timbral choices here. The textures are mad dreamy. Gorgeous sound all around.

I'm liking the added zest. Maybe you can do the same to Caterpillar Pond and turn it into a lake for real this time.

Kind of you to say! I was hoping this one would turn out okay. Thanks for listening!

Not a bad idea, actually. I might give it a shot at some point!

Finally tried to make good on your suggestion this week (kind of). Hope it turned out okay!

Snare retrig detail is great, as is the guiro smile Beautiful work, really like swaying flow of the melodies here. heart
