caterpillar's puddle

Lately the well's been running dry on my end in more ways than one: premature dry spells in the weather, alongside writer's block and a lack of time to properly work it.  But between getting some spring showers and a chance to catch a breather, this weekend's already off to a better start. big_smile

Anyway, here's one more follow-up for Butterfly Waterfall and Cocoon Creek.  It's a little deflated (me too, to be honest), but I figure what's important is we made it to Week 10.  Congrats everybody!

Super mellow! The composition is just unreal, I love it heart

Got to prime the pumps and the dry spells will pass! I like the fairytale like quality to the chord progressions and composition. Somber but hopeful.

Lovely 3/4 time, it feels a lot more light and fluid than common time. The bells and pad in particular sound great together. I've been feeling that dip a bit too lately, I haven't come up with new wips that I like for a couple weeks now. Good luck with the writer's block heart

You're the person I seek out for my weekly dose of mellow. Makes me want to take a peaceful nap and reminisce on the days I would play FF8 late into the night. I don't 100% recall all the music from that game but this kind of reminds me of the overworld or something.

real dungeon synth hours who up

That's real pretty, such a fantastic ambiance. You could probably keep making variations on this until you get over the block.

I love FFVIII's soundtrack!  That overworld theme might be my favorite in the series.

I got curious and started listening to my favorites from 2020. This one popped up, my first thought was "Ahhh, Levelcapybara. And this sounds so much like FF8" only to see that's exactly what I said 4 years ago lol. I'm still not 100% sure which song it reminds me of, maybe it's the theme at one of the gardens or maybe it does sound kind of like the overworld theme? *shrug*
